Descaling: Every 500–700 Brews

Last updated on May 03, 2026

When to descale

Run an internal descaling cycle every 500–700 brews, or at least once a year, whichever comes first.

Use a dedicated product

Use only a descaling product specifically formulated for coffee machines. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the bottle for dosage and rinsing cycles.

Do not use

Never use vinegar, citric acid solutions, or other home remedies. They can damage the boiler, the pump and the internal seals — and may void your warranty.

After descaling

  1. Run at least 2 full tanks of clean water through the machine to flush all traces of the descaling product.
  2. Empty the drip tray and capsule drawer between rinses.
  3. Brew one capsule and discard it before resuming normal use.
