Refilling the water tank Filling the Water Tank & Turning On the Machine 1. Lift the water tank lid from the top of the machine. 2. Remove the tank by pulling it straight up out of its housing. 3. Fill with fresh drinking water at room temperature. Do not exceed the MAX mark — 850 ml. 4. Slide the tank back into its housing until fully seated. 5. Replace the lid. Turning on and warming up 1. Plug the machine into the mains. 2. Press either coffee button (short or long). 3. Both buttons will start flashing blue while the machine heats up — this takes about 1 minute. 4. When both buttons are steady blue, the machine is ready to brew. Auto-off: the SV826 turns itself off after 15 minutes of inactivity to save energy. Press a button again to wake it.

Insert a capsule Inserting a Capsule and Placing Your Cup 1. Make sure the machine is on and the buttons are steady blue. 2. Slide the top cover backward to open the capsule chamber. 3. Drop a Pascucci natural-fiber capsule into the chamber. 4. Slide the cover fully forward to close it. The capsule must be pierced and locked in place. Position your cup - Espresso cup: keep the cup lift in place — it raises the cup closer to the spout to reduce splashing. - Mug or larger cup: remove the cup lift to lower the drip-tray level so the cup fits underneath. Always close the sliding cover all the way. If it's not fully closed the machine will not dispense — this is also the most common cause of "no coffee" problems.

The SV826 has just two buttons. Once a capsule is loaded and the buttons are steady blue, you only need one tap. Brewing a Coffee — Short or Long The two buttons - Short coffee (small cup icon) — espresso-style extraction. - Long coffee (large cup icon) — longer extraction, suited to a mug. Brewing 1. Insert a capsule and close the sliding cover. 2. Place the cup on the grid (with the cup lift for espresso, without it for a mug). 3. Press the short or long coffee button. 4. The button you pressed flashes during dispensing and stops automatically when the preset volume is reached. The factory presets follow standard espresso and lungo volumes. To change them see Programming your preferred coffee volume. After brewing 1. Open the sliding cover and remove the spent capsule into the capsule drawer. 2. Close the cover. 3. Empty the capsule drawer regularly — daily cleaning is recommended.
